Detailed description
Our specialists carried out scientific support for the process of steam-oxygen gasification of Shubarkol coal under pressure. The Lurgi technology was adapted. for coal from the Shubarkol deposit, characterized by a high tar content and extremely low ash content. The specificity of the characteristics of this coal did not allow the use of the known parameters of the Lurgi technology. directly. During the scientific study of the process, samples of Shubarkol coal were studied at the Prague Institute for Fuel Research.
Based on the research carried out, at the ZVU Engineering a.s. plant, Czech Republic, commercially produced gas generators were structurally modified specifically for the processing of Shubarkol coal. To solve the problem of recycling liquid production waste, recognized leaders in this field were brought in - UralORGRES, Yekaterinburg. The technology proposed by this organization made it possible not only to reliably neutralize liquid waste from coal gasification, but also to obtain an additional useful product of thermal processing of coal - light generator oil.
The task was complicated by the strict requirements for the fuel of calcination furnaces: the absence of mineral impurities in the fuel that could contaminate the highest grade G-00 alumina produced by the Pavlodar Aluminum Smelter.
As a result, a plant for steam-oxygen gasification of coal from the Shubarkol deposit was built and successfully put into operation, with a capacity of:
- for synthesis gas - 36000 nm3/hour;
- for light oil - 4.2 t/hour
including:
- coal transportation and preparation system;
- main building (gas generator block, synthesis gas preparation system for transportation, ash removal system;
- oxygen compressor station;
- own water recycling unit;
- system for supplying gas generators with high pressure steam and feed water;
- gas pipeline to the alumina calcination shop;
- gas water separation installation;
- system of fire disposal of liquid waste in the furnaces of boilers of thermal power plants;
- supply system for synthesis gas and light generator oil in the alumina calcination furnace;
- overhead conductor trestle and GRU-10 kV.
All work was completed on a turnkey basis, from design to commissioning and implementation of an automation system.
